Press releases menu

J&E Shepherd is offering a residential care home development opportunity for sale at offers over £500,000.

Planning permission has recently been granted for the alteration and extension, including partial demolition, of the existing building to form a 45 bed residential care home at St Aidan’s Church Hall, 100 St Vincent Street, Broughty Ferry, Dundee.

Jonathan Reid, associate at J & E Shepherd, said, “The subjects comprise a former church hall, which had recently been ‘C’ listed, and as such our client architects, Archial Architects,  has produced a design which carefully retains the Listed features but also allows the successful purchaser the opportunity to develop a modern care home facility.”

Located on the south side of Brook Street at its junction with St Vincent Street this opportunity commands a prominent location within the centre of this prosperous suburb of Dundee.

The proposal includes retaining the majority of St Aidan’s Hall and the removal of the eastern section at the south end of the site. A modern two storey extension will be built on the east elevation and a four storey extension will be built at the south end of the site.
