Fife Council has appointed J & E Shepherd Chartered Surveyors to advise on the disposal of a number of its property assets, including the former Bell Baxter school in Cupar and a number of development sites throughout Fife.
The contract, for a two year period initially, covers with immediate effect eight sites throughout Fife and forms part of the council’s plans to build on previous successes and commitment to make a difference to the people of Fife.
John Bankhead, managing partner at J & E Shepherd with responsibility for the operation of Shepherd’s throughout Fife, said, “We are delighted about working with Fife Council on this high profile instruction. With no fewer than three offices located in the kingdom – at Dunfermline, Kirkcaldy and St Andrews – J&E Shepherd was an obvious choice of surveyor to provide the in-depth local expertise and marketing advice that the council required.”
In addition to this latest contract with Fife Council, J & E Shepherd is currently advising the council on a number of Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) for schools.
As the third largest authority in Scotland, with a current budget in the region of £800 million, Fife Council is responsible for delivering all local government services in the kingdom.
