Established by Ian Fergusson in 1988, the Stirling commercial department originally covered the central belt area, including Falkirk, Stirling, Grangemouth, Cumbernauld and surrounding towns and villages. The opening of an office in Falkirk in 1997 enabled Shepherd to expand the services and scope of its Stirling commercial department.

Graeme McDonald was appointed to head up the building surveying department in 2003 while Sandy Falconer joined the Stirling office in 2006 and has run the commercial department since 2009. A Cumbernauld office was opened in 2007.

The Stirling office now covers the Stirlingshire and Clackmannanshire area, together with the west coast of Scotland. Cities, towns and villages serviced currently include: Stirling; Denny; Bonnybridge; Alloa; Drymen; Dollar; Callander; Aberfoyle and Dunblane.
