J & E Shepherd to sell YWCA's two properties in Edinburgh
Press releases menu

J&E Shepherd Chartered Surveyors has been retained by YWCA Scotland to sell two of its properties in Edinburgh with a view to acquiring new, more suitable premises in the Capital.

The properties are at Randolph Crescent, in the heart of Edinburgh’s West End and at Gayfield Place, at the top of Leith Walk. They are currently office type premises which have both residential and commercial development potential.

Niall Gunn, a partner in Shepherd’s commercial department in Edinburgh, said, “YWCA is selling these buildings as they are no longer fit for purpose. As such, the sale of these properties represents a great opportunity for YWCA Scotland to move to premises that will enable its existing work with girls and young women to move forward.”

Offers in the region of £500,000 are invited for the office at Randolph Crescent property and offers in the region of £450,000 are invited for the office/centre at Gayfield Place.

Established 125 years ago in Scotland, J&E Shepherd delivers a valuation service throughout the UK, from a network of 32 offices throughout Scotland and over 75 locations in England, Wales and the Channel Islands. It offers a multi disciplinary property service to include valuation, commercial agency, building surveying, rent reviews, development and investment consultancy, rating and property management. J&E Shepherd is now one of the largest independent firms of chartered surveyors in the UK.

YWCA Scotland (www.ywcascotland.org) aims to enable girls and young women to develop their full potential and participate at all levels of society.
