J&E Shepherd Chartered Surveyors, acting together with joint agents CBRE, have reduced the rents on two prime properties in Glasgow city centre to help prospective tenants beat the credit crunch.

The reduced rents mean that office suites at 39 St Vincent Place are now available at £10 per sq ft whilst a prominent 2,100 sq ft third floor office suite at 19 Blythswood Square is now available at £12.50 per sq ft.

Managing director of Strathclyde Properties, John O’Neil said, “Situated in a strong central location on the south side of St Vincent Place, 39 St Vincent Place benefits from all local shopping, business and leisure amenities and is located at the hub of the public transport system within a short walk from Queen Street and Central Station. The suites also benefit from underground car parking.

“Meanwhile, 19 Blythswood Square has been redeveloped behind the original solid blond sandstone façade to provide flexible open plan office accommodation. The accommodation is refurbished to a high standard that will satisfy modern occupier requirements. The reduction in rents for both these properties represents a great opportunity for tenants to snap up a bargain in the current economic climate.”
