Location
The land for sale is located in Torbermory on the Isle of Mull, the second largest island of the Scottish Inner Hebrides after Skye, lying off the west coast of Scotland in the Argyll and Bute council area. Tobermory is located on the east coast of Mishnish, the most northerly part of the island, near the northern entrance of the Sound of Mull.
Tobermory is famous for its colourful painted buildings, mainly shops and restaurants, on Main Street fronting the Harbour and is a popular location for television programmes, such as the children's show Balamory. The town hosts the Mull Museum, an Arts Centre, the Tobermory whisky distillery as well as Mull Aquarium. The clock tower on the harbour wall is a noted landmark. Popular boat tours leave Tobermory to visit the Treshnish Isles and Fingals Cave on Staffa.
Ferries sail from Kilchoan on the mainland from the Ardnamurchan peninsula to Tobermory but principal access to the island is via the ferry between Oban and Craignure which is circa 22 miles distant via the A848 road from Tobermory.
The subject site is located on the west side of Eas Brae which forms part of the main A848 road connecting directly to Main Street on the harbour front of Tobermory.
