Turriff or Turra in Scots is a small market town in Aberdeenshire of roughly 5000 residents. The town lies on an elevated position about 166ft above sea level in the heart of Aberdeenshire, approximately 35 miles northwest of Aberdeen City Centre, 29 miles to the west of Peterhead, 23 miles to the southwest of Fraserburgh, 11 miles to the south of Banff and Macduff and 21 miles to the north of Inverurie.
