Who
Dumfries-born Ian Young is an associate with the firm, based in the Dumfries office.

That was then
Ian joined Shepherd and embarked on his surveying career in 1990. During this time he has gained extensive experience in the residential property market. He has also been involved in commercial sectors such as office, retail, industrial and trading-related property, from both a valuation and estate agency perspective.

This is now
As an RICS registered valuer, Ian’s workload is focused on the survey and valuation of residential property across the Dumfries and Galloway region of southwest Scotland.

Rest and play
Travel and a busy social calendar offer a break from surveying. Ian also enjoys following the efforts and fortunes of the national rugby team.
