Who
Auchterarder-born Andy Boal is our Head of Rating, based in our Dundee office.

That was then
Having started his career with the Grampian Assessor in the early 1980s, Andy left to join a private surveying firm in Aberdeen before moving on to Glasgow in 1997 and then to Dundee where, in 2004, he set up an office for another national commercial property practice. He has over 30 years of experience in the commercial property world, with particular focus and expertise in valuation and rating.

This is now
Andy joined Shepherd in 2017 as Head of Rating. Although based in Dundee, he has a national remit to head up our team of rating experts throughout the country.

Rest and play
Andy’s childhood dreams of a career as a top international sportsman were cruelly scuppered by a lack of natural ability in either football, rugby, cricket, tennis, or golf, but he still gives them a go. Other than that, he spends his spare time cycling, cooking, and being taken for walks by his dog.
