Shepherd Chartered Surveyors’ latest commercial property auction will feature 59 commercial properties and development land located across Scotland with guide prices ranging from £1,500 to £725,000 going under the hammer in a live-streamed auction on Thursday 7th December at 2:30pm. All properties are open to remote bidding online, on the phone and by proxy.

In Aberdeen, there is a former seven-bedroom care home at 43 King’s Gate. A traditional detached granite building set over three floors, the property offers scope for conversion to residential subject to planning. Being sold on behalf of Aberdeen City Council, the guide price is £160,000.
If converting a church is of interest, the auction features three former churches in Glasgow, Boddam, and Gorebridge to choose from with guide prices ranging from £28,000 to £160,000.
On the outskirts of Ayr, the auction features a plot of land at High Glengall Farm located adjacent to the proposed South East Ayr development. The land has a guide price of £37,500.
Acting on behalf of Forestry & Land Scotland, Shepherd is offering five areas of land in Campbeltown, Keith, Tain, and Tobermory with guide prices from £2,000.
Located in Bridge of Weir is a unique opportunity to acquire a former hall. Offering scope to convert to alternative uses subject to planning and a guide price of £320,000.
And an investment opportunity is on offer at 100B & C High Street, Forres. Comprising an office and retail element, the property has a guide price of £75,000.
Steve Barnett, managing partner at Shepherd Chartered Surveyors, said: “Auctions offer the ability to sell all types of commercial property through our expansive network while being able to offer transparency and simplicity of the process.
“But our offering goes further in that we can offer the local market advice from our in-house team of Chartered Surveyors who are based throughout our national network of local offices.” We are already seeing a steady stream of new properties being registered for our next Auction in February 2024 which is evidence of the market witnessing an increased demand for sales via auction.
The online auction involves the posting of various lots online for which the auctioneer invites pre-authorised buyers to post bids via a live broadcast. This live broadcast will witness a significant level of competitive bidding as a number of the lots are already attracting widespread interest.
