What does an EPC show and how long is it valid?
An EPC provides an energy efficiency rating and information on energy use and emissions, alongside recommendations that can help improve performance.
Under current guidelines in Scotland, EPCs are valid for 10 years. Scottish EPC regulations are also being reformed, including changes to EPC format and a reduction in validity to 5 years under the newer regulations (with implementation timelines set out by government).
