James Richardson - Managing Partner

Who
Norfolk-born James Richardson has been in Scotland for over 30 years , is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a managing partner based within the commercial department of our Aberdeen office.

That was then
Having originally joined the firm in 2000 in the Dundee office as a graduate trainee, he left to gain experience within other parts of the property sector before returning as an associate in 2008 to head up the commercial valuation and professional services team within the Aberdeen office. He became a partner within the firm in 2012 and a managing partner in 2025.

This is now
James shares overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the commercial department within Aberdeen and heads the commercial valuation and professional services team within the office. He also has a remit to oversee IT, Comms and AI for the overall firm.

Rest and play
James enjoys biking and walking the dog, is a keen gardener and music fan and enjoys spending time with his family. He has an active social life and enjoys a gin & tonic and/or a glass of good red wine.
