Who
Andrew MacFarlane is a Partner responsible for the management of our Coatbridge office. He is a Chartered Surveyor, and RICS Registered Valuer.
That Was Then
Andrew qualified as a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 2003. After 11 years with another National Surveying Firm, where he managed their Lanarkshire office, Andrew joined Whyte & Barrie Chartered Surveyors in 2012 and became a Director of the Firm in 2016. Following the merger of Whyte & Barrie and Shepherd Surveyors in December 2024, Andrew assumed the role of Partner.
This Is Now
Andrew is responsible for the day-to-day running of our Coatbridge office. He specialises in the provision of Home Reports and covers all aspects of Residential Survey and Valuation work across Lanarkshire on behalf of Estate Agents, Lenders, Solicitors and Private Clients.
Rest And Play
Andrew is happily married to Fiona and together they enjoy travelling and wild swimming, particularly around mainland Scotland and the Islands. In his spare time, Andrew is a big music fan, collector of vinyl and, on the sporting front, a follower of Shinty and Football. He is also passionate about Animal Welfare and rehoming of Ex-Racing Greyhounds having previously been the Convenor of a National Greyhound Welfare Charity.
