Who
Inverness-born Chris is a residential chartered surveyor in our Inverness office.
That Was Then
Chris joined the firm in 2017 as a trainee surveyor and went on to graduate from Glasgow Caledonian University in 2022. He successfully completed his APC in 2024, becoming a Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.
This Is Now
Chris is responsible for carrying out all aspects of residential surveys and valuations throughout the Highlands and Islands. He is also a qualified domestic energy assessor.
Rest And Play
Outside of work, Chris is a keen golfer and football fan. He also enjoys socialising with friends - usually over a few beers.

Peterhead-born Gregor Simpson is a Partner in our Inverness office.

Gregor started his career as a trainee surveyor with Shepherd in 1992 and graduated from Aberdeen University in 2002. He became an Partner in 2014.
This is now
Gregor is a Partner in the Inverness office overseeing the operation of the firm’s residential department in Inverness, which covers the Highlands and Islands, and has responsibility for business generation for all aspects of Shepherd’s services. He specialises in residential surveys, valuations and Home Reports.

Having graduated from the University of Dundee (2016) and the University of Glasgow (2017), Kyle joined the firm in 2017 initially in the Elgin branch. He then transferred to the Inverness office before qualifying as MRICS in 2022.

Inverness-born Neil Calder is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a Partner of the firm based in our Inverness Office.

Having joined the Inverness office as a Trainee in 2000, Neil left in 2005 to gain experience within other parts of the property sector before returning as a Senior Surveyor in 2013. He was promoted to Associate in 2015 and became a Partner in 2019.
This is now
Neil has overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the Commercial department in Inverness. He has extensive experience of the market within the Highlands & Islands and Moray. Neil specialises in commercial property sales, lettings and acquisitions. He also undertakes rent reviews, lease restructuring, development appraisals and commercial valuation work for all the major lenders and is an RICS Registered Valuer.
