Who
Glasgow-born Craig Brown is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a partner based in our Livingston office.
That was then
Craig graduated in 1991 and worked in Shepherd offices in Aberdeen, Glasgow and Dumfries before opening the Livingston office in 1995, when he was appointed as an associate. He was made a partner in 2004.
This is now
Craig has overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the Livingston office and specialises in residential property.

Who
Ruth Strachan is a valuation surveyor in the Residential Department of our Livingston office.
That was then
A graduate of Heriot Watt University with an MA (Hons) Degree in Town Planning and an MSc in Urban Real Estate Management and Development, Ruth qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 2007. She has worked as a Planning Assistant in London, a Commercial Valuation Surveyor in Glasgow, a Valuation Surveyor for Clackmannanshire Council and a Residential Valuation Surveyor in Thurso before joining Shepherd in 2013.
This is now
Ruth is responsible for the undertaking, preparation and issuing of residential valuation reports for both private and secured lending purposes. She also prepares Energy Performance Certificates for existing residential properties, which covers the area of West Lothian. This work includes: Mortgage Valuations, Single Surveys and Energy Performance Certificates.
Rest and play
Ruth is a fan of most sports and actively enjoys running and field hockey. She enjoys spending time with her family and her dog. At weekends she enjoys exploring old castles, woodlands and the beach; weather permitting.
