Alasdair forms part of the residential team within the Aberdeen office where he assists in providing residential surveys, EPC’s and Valuations to local and national clients. Currently working towards his Chartered qualification which he will be sitting shortly.

Chris Grinyer is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a managing partner based in our Aberdeen office.

Having joined the firm in 1993 in the Dundee office, Chris moved to the Aberdeen office in 1995 to head the commercial department. He was promoted to associate in 1996 and became a partner in 2000. He was subsequently appointed to managing partner level within the firm in 2006.
This is now
Chris oversees the Aberdeen, Dundee and Inverness offices, whilst also participating in the English office management. In addition he oversees the Commercial Property divisions with other Managing Partners. Chris is an active fee earner who specialises in Commercial Property being actively involved in investment, acquisition, asset management, agency and development consultancy.

Chris is a keen golfer and an avid football and music fan. He likes to read, walk his dogs and spend family time. He enjoys an active social life, and is a keen brewer, combining the interests to good effect!

In 2019, Clark graduated from The University of Strathclyde with a BA (Hons) degree in International Business with Marketing. From there, he then attended The University of Aberdeen to pursue a Masters in International Real Estate, which was completed in August 2021.

Clark joined Shepherd’s graduate training programme in August 2021, and is in the process of undertaking training to become an RICS accredited Surveyor.

Clark is a big sports fan, with his main sporting interest being Chelsea Football Club. Clark is slowly trying to make his way into the golfing world – although he admits that he prefers the post-match pints in the club house to the actual playing of golf.

Stornoway-born Craig Nicol is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and is a based in our Aberdeen office.

Having graduated from Aberdeen University in 2001, Craig joined another firm of Chartered Surveyors in Aberdeen and qualified MRICS in 2004. Following a career break to travel worldwide in 2008, he rejoined his previous employer at its Dundee office prior to joining Shepherd’s Aberdeen office in 2010. He was promoted to Associate in 2015 and became a Partner in 2025.

Prior to working at Shepherds, I studied for two years at college down in Edinburgh and did an internship in residential lettings down in London. Just before joing Shepherds I worked in my family restaurant out in Ballater.

Stuart is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and is a Management Partner in our Aberdeen office.

Stuart joined Shepherd in 2005 as a student whilst completing his degree in Building Surveying, he continued to work with the firm on a part-time basis before graduating with a First Class Honours degree in 2007. Thereafter he joined the Aberdeen residential department on a full-time basis and qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 2008 before being appointed Associate in 2012, Partner in 2016 and Managing Partner in 2021.

Stuart has involvement in managing the residential departments in the North East of Scotland and is also heavily involved with our IT Systems and Business Development. Stuart is a supervisor and counsellor for the local graduates trying to gain MRICS status. On a daily basis, he covers a wide range of valuations including Home Reports for both local and national clients throughout the North East of Scotland.

A keen golfer and an Aberdeen Football Club fan, Stuart also enjoys hill-walking and traveling. He can often be found enjoying a beer, malt whisky and appreciates fine food.
