Adrian is a Partner in our Musselburgh office and a Fellow of the RICS

That was then
A graduate of Heriot-Watt University with a degree in economics, Adrian completed the College of Estate Management Diploma in Surveying whilst employed by the Valuation Office Agency in Edinburgh. He joined Shepherd in 1997 in our Edinburgh office and, since 1998, has been based in our East Lothian office.

This is now
Adrian is a partner within the Musselburgh office, which covers East Lothian, parts of the Scottish Borders and North Northumberland. His work includes: residential surveying for Home Reports; mortgage valuations; asset valuations; compulsory purchase and compensation; English right to buy valuations; energy performance certificates and the entire spectrum of private client workloads. Adrian is a Past chair of the Residential Property Professional Group Board of the RICS in Scotland. Was an editorial board member on Scottish Surveyor magazine, was the Ombudsman Property Services Liaison panel member for Scotland and has a role within Shepherd’s APC training provision. He is an APC Assessor, Chair and Auditor . Adrian was a judge for the RICS awards.

Rest and play
A resident of Musselburgh, Adrian is a Liverpool and Tranmere Rovers fan, an enthusiastic, if somewhat erratic, golfer and follows the fortunes of the national rugby team with resigned realism. Directly linked to this is an appreciation of malt whisky and real ales.

Who
East Lothian born Bryony is a residential surveyor currently within our Edinburgh office.

That Was Then
After completing her degree in Interior Architecture, Bryony headed North to Inverness where she relished the opportunity to work within property sales. A return to Edinburgh in 2015, brought more experience of working in property sales and lettings with two large property companies.

Bryony then went on to achieve a Masters’s in Real Estate Management and Investment at Edinburgh Napier University, before joining J & E Shepherd.

This Is Now
Bryony joined the firm in September 2018 and became a qualified member of the RICS in May 2023. Bryony’s day to day responsibilities include carrying out inspections for Home Reports and Mortgage Valuations.

Rest And Play
Bryony lives in Haddington and still pursues an interest in interior design having renovated houses in the past. She enjoys spending time with her young family, socialising with friends and walking her French bulldog.

Who
Originally from Northumberland, Ed moved to Edinburgh in 2001 before moving to East Lothian in 2021.

That was then
Ed studied Architectural History as an undergraduate at Edinburgh University, and completed a real estate postgraduate degree at Heriot Watt University in 2010 before joining Shepherds in 2013. He achieved MRICS status in 2015 and was made an Associate in 2018 before becoming Partner in 2023.

This is now
Ed is a Partner in the firm’s residential department and undertakes a variety of valuation work on behalf of a broad range of clients.

Rest and play
Ed lives in East Lothian with his young family and enjoys golf and football.
